Tribute to Michael Jackson

The breaking of news today in CNBC was this:

Michael Jackson has passed away

Nicknamed "The King of Pop", he was said to be the greatest performer of all time. A genius with the art of music and dance, he deserved to be called the King of Pop. He was an inspiration to millions of people, and he touched them with his music and his quest to save the world. Needless to say, he also inspired our crew with his amazing and unique dance moves. We are now planning to make a choreography as a tribute to Michael Jackson.

His spirit will live on within us....

Today had been a more or less good day. Why?

Because when the sun shine we'll shine together

Because: - we had our cha cha class today

- we sang our hearts out to Tenacious D song

But it was not a good day for my phone which had to be reformatted due to some bloody error. All my pictures, songs and contacts are gone. I feel quite sad about the pics, some of them are quite nice. Fortunately, most of the nice ones are in FB!

Tomorrow will be a better day! If you're thinking how would i know, the answer is i dont. There's nothing wrong in hoping right? What would life be without hope?

Wise Thoughts

I've been thinking, maybe one of the ways of keeping this blog alive is not just to blog about Bro7herhodz Crew only, but also to blog about the small things in life that people tend to overlook.

It is often these little things that make life more meaningful, things that you did, said, witnessed or things that other people said to you. Some of these things will keep churning in your mind, making you think about the 'why's.

Life goes on regardless of whether you want it to or not.

Live life to the fullest and appreciate all the moments of each and every day, for there will never be two days which are exactly identical.

SAS Talentine 2009

The SAS Talentine, held on 13th June, Saturday, has just passed. And so, here is the video of our dance. In a way, its a re-union for the Bro7herhodz Crew. It has been too long since we've performed as a complete crew. All the sweat and blood did pay off in the end although after the dance every one was totally drained. Like they say, those who work hard get to play hard. So i think we deserve a good rest before going back to practising for another show on the 20th at a wedding. The great news is that we're getting paid, not sure how much though, but at least we're getting paid right.. =)

The Revelation

Its been a long while since i've updated the blog. Reason? just plain lazy and because of that i have been procrastinating the job of updating the blog. I've been telling them i've been busy with school and other stuff, but that 80% bull shit. I mean i've been busy with school but if i really wanna do it, nothing can stop me.

Anyway, the crew is really at an all time low since last month, we got out of some misunderstanding which very very nearly tore us apart. But we've managed to get thing sorted out with the help of Aries who talked sense into us. God bless him. We sat down in Ayamku and talked about it and finally got things over with. Then dalbert had to leave, and just recently, raymond started working. Practices didnt really feel like practice at all... Hopefully thats gonna change soon.

Right now, my mind is in turmoil, i'm more into ballroom dancing than hip hop. What does that have to do with this? Well, its just that, i've been keeping that to myself coz i'm worried about telling it to the others and i think that this will be the best way of telling them about it. I love dancing; 3 years before i would never have imagined i would be in a crew, never would imagined myself dancing on any stage and most of all, i would never ever have imagined that i was gonna meet 6 people who would in time turn out to be my closest friends, so much so that we are like brothers. It is these brothers that i'm afraid i would disappoint if i tell them about it. However dont get me wrong, i'm not giving up on hip hop, breaking, cwalk and all that. I would still practice those, its just that over time, my love for dancing has shifted towards ballroom, i cant really explain it. Its not because of the girls (although she does play a tiny part in that) doing sexy poses and all that, it just happened.

So guys; Afiq, Dalbert, Shaneel, Raymond, Calvin and Eric, i sincerely hope that we would still remain as brothers even when everyone is in different parts of the world, through the years that are to come.
